“A rose by any other name would smell as sweet…” William Shakespeare
Although the original title of this book, Body Butter, caught my attention, Touch by Renee Luke was still the erotic tale I expected it to be, and it actually had me wanting to check out the rest of her novels with great anticipation and interest.
Although the original intention of Jade’s visit was to enjoy the island resort paradise as a newlywed, fate proved to be cruel, and she came down with a different purpose in mind. All she needed was the right man to take her mind off of her broken heart.
Ty, on the other hand, had no intentions of being on the island to run the resort that his mother owned for the summer months, but since he was stuck, he pretty much figured to make the best of it. All he figured was to get through the summer, let his mother get back to the business of running the resort, and he can go on about business as usual.
Let me say this: the sparks that flew between Jade and Ty on their first meeting was enough to make me put the book down and take a breath for a second. You’ll see what I mean when you read the book! All I have to say to keep from spoiling it completely is this: I need to look into edible butter!
The tension between them was electric and the HEA made this a perfect summer read for me, and I have no problems recommending this book to anyone who wants something searing hot with the HEA to boot! Great job, Mrs. Luke!
