Today we welcome Jae Henderson. RNIC is a stop on her virtual book tour to promote her novel Forever and a Day.
What aspect of writing brings you the most joy?
I enjoy letting these characters who are being held hostage inside my head free on paper. Although the part that brings me the most joy is when I get the first copy of my book. There is something gratifying about holding the finished product in your hands. Seeing the money in my account from sales comes a close second!
If you had to do this all over again, would you change anything?
I sure would. I’d do more research about the art of marketing for self-publishers. Publishing your book is only the first step and your marketing should begin way before it ever goes to print. Successfully marketing your book to the masses takes a lot of work, especially if you have little to no marketing budget. I’ve been learning as I go along and I wish some of the information I have now, I had earlier.
What dreams of yours have been realized thanks to your writing career?
Besides publishing my books, I’ve had the opportunity to do some traveling and meet some of my favorite authors. The cherry on top is that every one of them has been extremely nice and full of advice.
When you’re not writing, what keeps you busy? What are some of your favorite things to do?
When I have free time, I enjoy traveling, reading, watching movies, listening to music and attending concerts. I love live music! I also enjoy spending time with great friends and dining on wonderful cuisine.
What question would you love to answer that we didn’t ask?
I want people to know that you don’t have to have read the first two books, “Someday” and “Someday, Too” to understand the storyline. I wrote each book in a manner that allows them to fully understand the main occurrences in the previous books and prevents them from feeling lost within the story. However, I encourage those who haven’t read the two previous books to do so. Each character has an interesting story that has evolved with each book.
About the book
The exciting finale of the Someday Trilogy!
Tee and Michael Stokes have realized that life for them will never be normal. As heads of a new entertainment management company and expecting parents it’s now more important than ever to figure out if their stalker, Rebecca DeFoy, is dead or alive. If she’s alive, will she kill again? If she’s dead, who is impersonating her and why? Whichever the case, they must put an end to the harassment once and for all before she puts an end to them.
The girls are still at it . . .
Tiffany has traded in her tight clothes and stilettos for big hats and conservative dresses as she tries to prove to one of Memphis’ most promising young pastors that she is worthy of a man in the pulpit. Can she control her feelings for Michael, or will temptation ruin her chances for love and her friendship with Tee? Lenice has entered the world of online dating. Her keystrokes can’t mask the pain of a failed relationship, but they could lead her into the life of an elderly millionaire. Lenora’s weight loss has changed her body and her attitude for the better, but her husband’s job at the Kitty Kat Club may be too much for even the new and improved Lenora to handle.
Join Tee, Michael, and their hilarious friends as they discover that the key to surviving this journey called life is to hold on tight to the hands of the ones you love while you pray for faith to see you through. Forever and a Day will keep you loving, laughing, and on the edge of your seat!
