South Beach by Angeline M. Bishop is an excellent story. This book will hook you from the beginning, and the love struggle between Laila and Malcolm will remind you of how women get caught up in the drama of past relationships.
Laila’s plan to move on from a failed relationship and regain control of her love life backfires when she goes on a vacation to South Beach with two of her best friends and Malcolm, her former lover, shows up and complicates things. Will she fall for his charm again or can Gray, a man sent to bring her to her senses and who has admired her from afar, show her that love can be right under your nose if you take the time to look?
Laila’s character is very strong; I like how the writer wrote about Laila and her girlfriends Sofia and Marina. It was funny how Laila made the girls party her way. There was a Divorce Party at South Beach club, a pool party with Drag Queens. The Spa day will really have you laughing out loud.
The author did an outstanding job in writing about affairs of the heart and the decisions one makes. The characters were so good and enjoyable, at times you feel like you were there with them, and the author made the book even more enjoyable to read with lots of humor.
I highly recommend SOUTH BEACH to romance fans everywhere. The dialogue was great, the fashion was very good, the characters were memorable. It’s a great read that will remind women that sisters by choice can have a stronger bond than sisters by blood. This book will make a great book club discussion.
I look forward to reading more from this author and can’t wait for the next book.

Laurel Cremant is an opinionated author and reader of romance with a wicked sense of humor. RNIC was smart (or crazy) to bring her on as a blogger. In 2016 she took over the management of this site and relishes her new title of “Overlord of Awesome”
