Everyone who knows me knows I love a good mystery with lots of twists and turns. Well, Fatal Jealousy had me on a roller coaster from start to finish.
Ms. OW introduced us to the behavior analyst unit in the FBI and the hero, Dale Carson. Talk about HOT, but I digress. Dale and his team solve the grizzliest of crimes by getting inside the minds of the psychopaths who commit them, ala Criminal Minds (which happens to be one of my favorite shows on television).
Carson meets Ellie and falls head over heels in love with her; and she with him. She’s the only one that can tame the “player”. Can’t go wrong with a steamy romance smack in the middle of my mystery. But Ellie has a twin sister, Ellsa. And Ellsa is cray cray!!!! Without giving too much away, I’m just going to say this is a good twin versus evil twin tale. More than that, it delves into the bond that twins have with each other, the jealousy between siblings, and the lengths that one will go to in order to get what they want. And just when you think it can’t get any worse, it does. I was literally on the edge of my seat the entire time I was reading and I couldn’t fall asleep without reading another chapter and another…and another.
There were some instances when I just couldn’t believe what I was reading and, at times, I was a bit confused because there were so many characters. But if you’re looking for a novel that has a hot hunky FBI agent, all consuming love and romance, mystery, suspense, thrills, and plenty of potential for a series, this is your book. I’m interested to see more with these characters.

Laurel Cremant is an opinionated author and reader of romance with a wicked sense of humor. RNIC was smart (or crazy) to bring her on as a blogger. In 2016 she took over the management of this site and relishes her new title of “Overlord of Awesome”
