This was a quick read and I thoroughly enjoyed the story. Ms. Flynn did a good job developing these characters. With Gabe, the author shows how Gabe’s business sense has a strong effect on his personal life where he is a strong-minded and determined man that will stop at nothing to get what he wants. His motives for wanting the furniture business are misguided because he does not have all the facts and this character display shows that Gabe may have a brilliant business mind, but it does not filter into his personal life. He believes when someone has been wronged the guilty party should pay at all cost.
Keisha’s character showed her desire to put others first even to the point of sacrificing what she wanted to meet others’ needs. She and Gabe make a good combination, where they balance each other.
Although this was a short read, readers will glimpse the budding romance between Keisha and Gabe, and the struggles each must contend with. The competition for the furniture store is a bonus but this couple realizes they must overcome their own issues and busy schedules to decide if the relationship is worthy enough to continue.
