Sheikh Abu al Bari went to Dallas to find an architectural firm to build the largest skyscraper in the world in his home land of Dubai. Axelrod Architecture was the firm that the Sheikh chose to build his skyscraper. Jamie attended the meeting to hear about the plans to build this skyscraper but she did not really pay attention, until she asked a question. That’s when Sheikh Abu al Bari became taken by her. Jamie wasn’t on the list to go to Dubai because her boss felt that she wasn’t experienced enough to do the job. That’s why Sheikh Abu al Bari persuaded her boss to get her and a co-worker there. But the Sheikh had a hidden agenda as to why he wanted Jamie there.
Once Jamie and her co-worker arrived in Dubai, Jamie felt something wasn’t quite right because she and her co-worker were separated and didn’t see each other for several days. Jamie demanded to see her co-worker after the Sheikh gave her a tour of his country and that’s when she saw a skyscraper already built there. Not long after, the Sheikh’s maid spilled the beans about why Jamie was really there. As the story drew to an end, both Jamie and the Sheikh realized they had feelings for each other.
The story started out great, but from chapter 3 the story seemed to be rushed. I had to read the story twice to understand the plot of the story. This could have been a great read if the author had more plot and character development.
