This story starts with Logan and Dakota’s past. There are definitely unresolved feelings facing the couple. The chemistry can be felt from the very beginning. The characters are well developed, and the background information plays an important part of the story.
Dakota is a strong woman who does not take any mess from Logan. She has a sense of humor, and you will find yourself giggling at some of the things that she says. As the couple struggles to deny their feelings for each other, you can feel how much they really care about each other. With a match-making auntie, a.k.a. the Love Broker, this book makes for an enjoyable read.
The author does an incredible job of describing the scenery throughout the story. The descriptions are so vivid, you can “feel” the Jamaican breeze, and hear the Caribbean steel drums playing. The secondary characters introduced throughout the story also play an important part, while bringing the creative, fun-loving, and warm feeling story to life.
One thing that I enjoyed about the story and relationships is the fact that the strong emotional pull of the characters are so believable and heart tugging that it’s possible to shed a tear or two. Near the end of the story, you are pulling for Dakota and Logan, along with their friends and the author does not disappoint.
This author has worked her charm, by creating a wonderful love story with romance, page turning emotions, and detailing the importance of family.
