Who would play you in the movie about your life and why?
Angela Bassett! I think she is strong, determined, visionary and a great actress. I think she would be able to bring to the surface my passion for all that I do. Oh wait, Viola Davis… cause she is the truth! And she knows how to get away with stuff.

Busy…. Notes, pens, stickies, eye glasses, white out.
Do you have a favorite hero/heroine you’ve written? What makes them special?
Quentin Parker and Rafe Lawson. There is something untouchable and utterly sexy about them. There is a deepness in their souls that women want to reach.
Which heroine from your books do you most closely identify with?
Regina from IF I COULD.
Bailey Sinclair is working two jobs to make ends meet and then she meets Justin Lawson one of Louisiana’s most eligible bachelors. Justin wants to make her life easier, but Bailey doesn’t do easy. About the Author
I began my writing career in 1987 writing short stories for the confession magazines. My first novel, ROOMS OF THE HEART, was published in 1990 by Odyssey Books. Since that time I have more that 70 titles in print. Three of my novels were adapted for television. Currently I write and teach. I received my MFA and teach English Literature at Medgar Evers College, Essex County College and the College of New Rochelle. I live in Brooklyn with my family.
