Jackson Whitmore is 29 and President of a growing music company. He is partnered with his best friend and vice president, Eric Jameson and they are the dynamic duo of this up-and-coming company. Now, comes the time for someone to step up and down, the CEO. Michael Miller becomes a member of the Board of Directors thus giving up his position of CEO. He promotes Jackson to CEO and brings in a new President, Milan Wells, and the tension flares.
Milan Wells hits the ground running, coming in with great ideas and promises of signing a new, talented artiste. This soothes the waves of her and Jackson while increasing the friction between her and Eric. On top of this, Eric sets his sights on bedding her which brings rise to feelings of discord with Jackson, when Eric won’t take no for an answer. Eventually, Jackson has to intercede when Eric’s competitiveness overflows and ventures into areas that could cause devastation. When this happens, it throws a huge wrench into the dynamic duo and pure treachery arises.
M. Skye penned an engagingly intense novel that takes us on journeys, twists and turns. Mixing Business and Pleasure does just that on all accords and keeps us fully immersed in the process.
