Mourning a spouse, sibling, friend, or in-law doesn’t come with a guidebook. Everyone grieves differently which should be okay. But not for William’s mother, Gloria. William comes from a prominent family. His mother wasn’t particularly head over heels about his choice to marry outside of her social circle. Yes, her social circle because William doesn’t define people by their bank account. She believes she has the right to declare him mentally unstable because of how he’s handling the loss of his beloved wife, Kristy.
Kristy is vibrant, carefree, a true social butterfly whose life reflected protesting against individuals who harmed innocent animals. A character I love. One too many protests causes a business owner to seek revenge.
As long as William had a form of Kristy, life was perfect; which is why and how she became a figment of his imagination, and the more others push for him to let go, the more he held onto her. Until Kristy expresses she can’t remain with him forever. Refusing to accept her last wish, fuels an argument and sends her fleeing. This led to his demise.
I found myself cheering for William, not only for him to heal but also for him to understand the reasoning behind Kristy’s last wish. As the story unfolded, I was a little stunned because of the mere fact, she knew their time together would be cut short. Love Reaffirmed had my mind racing and my heart filled with emotions.
Christiana OW wrote an amazing story that readers can relate to through the leading and supporting characters, which is how I was able to overlook the grammatical errors.
Enjoy, you won’t be disappointed.
