Amara and Noah Farrington have a turbulent past. They love each other but Amara continues to run from their love due to witnessing how love destroyed her mother after her father left them. Since she is not willing to commit, she uses Noah at her own convenience until she begins dating Keith. Two years have passed since Amara and Noah last saw each other. She calls him because she needs his help with a project at work. While she believes that things will remain platonic between them, Noah believes otherwise. All bets are off when they are in the same room together and soon feelings come to the surface again for these two lovebirds.
The author did a good job in writing this compelling love story. I was drawn in by the lead characters. I loved Amara and Noah’s chemistry and their ability to know what the other person needed at any given time. The author did a good job of presenting some of the obstacles that could derail a relationship such as fear and rejection. She also touched a lot on the power of forgiveness. Honestly, I kept wondering if Noah would ever get tired of her running from him and their love. Although he knew the reason, he still hung in there and that takes a strong and patient man to do that. There were some minor spelling and grammatical errors but I was still able to enjoy the read. I would recommend this book to others
