Happy New Year!
I bet you thought, you were safe here. That all the hype of New Years and the resolutions that come along with it, could be avoided here. Well, you’re partially correct. I won’t be posting any book reading or blogging goals this week, or posting a list of my favorite books from 2015. Mainly because my goals are pretty simple:
- 1st – Book Reading Goal: Read more awesome books
- 2nd – Book Blogging Goal: Keep RNIC awesome
- 3rd – Favorite Books of 2015: Too many to list without getting carpal tunnel
So I’ve decide to spare you the long goal post, and offer you something any book lover would enjoy. A book companion to help YOU achieve all of your lofty (and not so lofty) goals this year. As a grown woman, who has been adulting for a while, I learned a long time ago that New Year’s resolutions are worth absolutely diddly squat unless you have the motivation, conviction and means to carry them through. I can’t give you conviction and means, but I sure as hell can offer you some awesome motivation. Over the course of the next few days, I’ll be posting some great romance books guaranteed to give you some inspiration. The sexy book boyfriends (and girlfriends) are a bonus.
Today we cover a common, and often easily dropped goal…
RESOLUTION #1: GET FIT/LOSE WEIGHT
Just to be specific, getting fit doesn’t necessarily mean to lose weight. The two can be exclusive. Really, I should have just written “Get Healthy”. So let’s pretend I did. Anyhoo…This particular resolution can be tough to stick to, but lucky for you I’ve found some sexy, smexy books that will keep your heart rate up and make you desperate to go to the gym, or outside ready to work on your muscle tone and tan.
Sated by Rebekah Weatherspoon
All Keira Kenney wants is her happy ending. Too bad she can never make it through a first date. Apparently, since Keira can’t seem to find a partner who can simply tolerate her interests. Perhaps it’s time for her to give up. She has her job at Melrose Fitness, a new season of her favorite space drama added to streaming, and hundreds of thousands of words worth of fan fiction all to keep her mind busy. Her heart will have to wait.
Pyrotechnics expert, Daniel Song isn’t looking for anything. He spends his days doing what he loves, and his nights and weekends participating in the kinky activities his body craves. Single life as sexual switch suits him perfectly, giving him the freedom to indulge the types of erotic adventures some people only dream of.
When a good friend asks Daniel if his co-worker, Keira can join him at a local sci-fi convention, neither of them expect any sort of fireworks to spark. After all, Keira’s turned off by kink and Daniel can’t live without with it. So naturally they both agree that an official first date would be a great idea. With this new relationship fresh between them, Daniel shares what he can of himself without scaring Keira off, hiding his shock and growing infatuation as she rises to every sexual occasion with her silly, geek-girl personality. It’s only a matter of time before they both have to face the truth; what he wants is the furtherest thing from what she needs. But in the meantime, pushing each other’s sexual limits seems like a good plan. It’s like not either of them is looking for love.
Own Me by Lexi Scott

Genevieve Rodriguez’s life isn’t panning out the way she’s always envisioned. At all. Not only is she exactly one “D” away from getting kicked out of school, but her heart is in pieces after her long-time crush marries someone else. For Genevieve, sunny Silver Strand has never felt more dismal.
Then Adam Abramowitz, her super-cute, super-smart physics tutor-who never seems to notice even her sexiest tops-tells her his visa is about to expire and he’s going to have to return to Israel.
Suddenly the words pop out of Genevieve’s mouth before she can stop them. “Marry me.”
At first, it’s a joke…until it’s not. Because in that brief, unexpected moment, everything changes. The rules. The boundaries. And Adam and Genevieve are about to discover what happens when you push the limits.
